E16 - New York State Shared Parenting Polling

The numbers are in! New York State recently conducted their own shared parenting survey, exploring how different types of families feel about the way children should have both parents at home after divorce or separation; it was eye-opening and revealing.

In this video NPO Chair, Don Hubin, PhD. and New York Chair Jason Houck discuss the recent poll that was conducted in New York State, exploring how parents feel about shared parenting. The results were eye-opening - they show a shift away from believing children should have only one parent after divorce to thinking it may be better if both parents share their time equally with them post-separation or even through remarriage.

We will take a look at some of these findings to see if this has any bearing on your own situation. We also talk about what's next for getting a shared parenting law passed in New York State.
